9I.\nACCEPTANCE OF THE 8900 AND 8911 PACIFIC AVENUE DEMOLITION PROJECT\nBY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON, CALIFORNIA\nThe 8900 and 8911 Pacific Avenue Demolition Project consisting of the demolition and\nabatement of two vacant 4-plex buildings located at 8900 and 8911 Pacific Avenue is now\ncomplete. The final construction cost for the project was $150,000, the contract award\namount. The City Engineer, in his judgment, certifies that the work was satisfactorily\ncompleted as of February 19, 2026, and recommends that the City Council accept the\ncompleted work performed on this project.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that the project is categorically exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(l)(3), Class 1 – minor\nalteration and demolition of existing small structures; and\n2. Accept the completed improvements for the 8900 and 8911 Pacific Avenue Demolition\nProject as certified by the City Engineer, and establish February 19, 2026, as the\nofficial date of completion; and\n3. Approve the final construction contract amount of $150,000.00 with Integrated\nDemolition and Remediation, Inc.; and\n4. Direct the City Clerk within ten (10) days from the date of acceptance to file the Notice\nof Completion (Attachment) with the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Orange;\nand\n5. Direct City staff, after thirty-five (35) days has elapsed from the filing of the “Notice of\nCompletion” with the County Clerk-Recorder, to make the retention payment to\nIntegrated Demolition and Remediation, Inc. in the amount of $7,500.00.
