F.6.\nEXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES TO INCLUDE A TREE AND MENORAH\nLIGHTING IN THE 2026 WINTER SEASON EVENTS [J. ERICKSON]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will direct Staff to work with the City\nAttorney’s office to explore opportunities for the City to incorporate a tree\nlighting and/or menorah lighting as part of the 2026 winter season. As part\nof this directive, the City will review how similar programs are organized in\nother cities, including if such events are organized by the city or external\ncommunity partners, and provide recommendations on how to move\nforward in West Hollywood.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct Staff to work with the City Attorney’s\noffice to explore opportunities for the City to incorporate a tree lighting\nand/or menorah lighting as part of the 2026 winter season events; and 2)\nDirect Staff to return to Council with more information on potential program\nmodels based on research from other jurisdictions and recommendations\nfor local implementation.
