F.4.\nCO-SPONSORSHIP OF JUNE L. MAZER LESBIAN ARCHIVES’ SHORT\nFILM FESTIVAL IN CELEBRATION OF LESBIAN AND QUEER\nWOMEN’S VISIBILITY WEEK [C. BYERS]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider co-sponsoring a Short Film\nFestival, organized by the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives, during the\nweek of April 20, 2026 in celebration of Lesbian and Queer Women’s\nVisibility Week.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Co-Sponsorship Agreement with\nthe June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives for a Short Film Festival to be held\nduring the week of April 20, 2026 in celebration of Lesbian and Queer\nWomen’s Visibility Week; 2) Authorize the City Manager to execute\ndocuments incident to the Agreement; 3) Authorize the use of the City\nname and logo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials; 4)\nDirect the Communications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunications tools to promote the events; 5) Approve the use of\n$5,000 for Lesbian and Queer Women’s Visibility Week budgeted funds in\naccount 100-1-01-01-533022, Lesbian and Gay Programs for costs\nassociated with these events; 6) Authorize the Director of Finance and\nTechnology Services to allocate an additional $5,000 from unallocated\nGeneral Fund reserves to the FY 2026 Special Council Programs Account\n100-1-01-00-531001 for costs associated with the event, and increase the\nbudget for Special Council Programs by the same amount; and 7)\nAuthorize the Director of Finance and Technology Services to allocate\n$5,000 from Fiscal Year 2026 Special Council Programs account number\n100-1-01-00-531001 for costs associated with the event.
