10.\nAcquisition of Duty Handguns, Lights, and Holsters for Police Department Personnel\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve the acquisition of duty handguns, weapon-mounted lights, holsters, and magazines\nfrom Pro Force Law Enforcement at a gross cost of $87,784.19, with an anticipated net cost of\n$60,244.19 after trade-in credits;\n2. Authorize the trade-in of surplus department firearms to Pro Force Law Enforcement in\nexchange for a credit of up to $27,540.00 to be applied against the purchase price;\n3. Authorize the sale of one (1) SIG Sauer P226 duty pistol per eligible sworn employee at\n$250.00 per pistol, with any unsold pistols to be transferred to Pro Force Law Enforcement as\npart of the trade-in; and\n4. Authorize the use of federal asset forfeiture funds (Fund #205) for this purchase; and\n5. Authorize the Chief of Police to execute the purchase upon City Council approval, complete all\nnecessary procurement documentation, and administer the sale of surplus firearms to eligible\nsworn personnel.\n6. Authorize the Director of Finance to make the appropriation and necessary budget adjustments.
