4.\nAt the direction of the City Council, City staff and consultants from ESA have developed a\nDraft Comprehensive Environmental Sustainability Plan (the Draft Plan) to provide a long-\nterm framework that will help improve environmental and sustainability issues within\nAlhambra. The Draft Plan strives to balance the needs of today's generation with future\ngenerations while ensuring a balance for economic prosperity, environmental care, and\nsocial wellbeing. This presentation will provide an overview of the Draft Plan, a summary\nof outreach highlights to date, and a community engagement strategy for the public\ncomment period. Staff is requesting comments on next steps for the completion of the\ndocument, including releasing the Draft Plan for a public comment period to inform the\nfinal version of the Plan.\nDRAFT COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY PLAN AND\nPUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD\n–\nF2M22-64\nRecommended Action: City Council receive an overview of the Draft Comprehensive\nEnvironmental Sustainability Plan; and, direct staff to release the Draft Plan for a period\nof public review and comment, or provide other direction as deemed appropriate
