16.\nCONTRACT AMENDMENT: PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN REVIEW\nCONSULTING SERVICES – F2M23-39, C2M23-53, M2M26-56\nOn June 26, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to Ladayu Consulting Group (LCG)\nto serve as City Landscape Architect for professional landscape design review consulting\nservices in the amount of $74,740 for a 5-year term. The original anticipated annual\nexpenditures were $15,000, while actual expenditures have averaged $25,000 per year.\nTo date, the City has expended $66,220 of the original contract amount, leaving a balance\nof $8,520 for the remainder of the current fiscal year. Staff is requesting a contract\namendment to increase the total contract by $75,000, from $74,740 to $149,740, and\nextend the contract for 1 year to align with the City’s 2-year budget cycle, which will help\nstaff forecast future budget needs. This will provide an estimated budget of $25,000\nper year for the remainder of the contract.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No.\nC2M23-53 with Ladayu Consulting Group, which serves as a City Landscape Architect\nproviding professional on-call landscape design review consulting services to increase the\ncontract amount by $75,000, for a total not to exceed amount of $149,740, and extend the\ncontract term by one year through June 27, 2029, subject to final language approval by\nthe City Attorney and the City Manager; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary\nto finalize the Council’s action.
