14.\nCONTRACT AMENDMENT: TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET LIGHTING SERVICES –\nF2M25-31, C2M25-41, M2M26-54\nOn September 22, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract to YUNEX LLC in the amount\nof $240,000.00 for Traffic Signal and Street Lighting Maintenance Services. Since then,\nthe City has experienced an unanticipated increase in property damage and repairs,\nresulting in the contract amount fully exhausted by the January 2026 billing. Staff is\nrequesting additional appropriations for the remaining five months of the 2025-26 Fiscal\nyear, based on average expense of $24,000.00 per month for continued traffic signal and\nstreet lighting maintenance services. This amendment will only cover additional work\nperformed in Fiscal Year 2025-2026.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve an amendment to the Agreement with\nYUNEX LLC for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 for an additional $120,000.00, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney; direct the Finance Director to\nappropriate $40,000.00 from the Public Works Maintenance Improvement District Fund\nbalance and allocate the funds into account number 241.70.76310.00000.622100; and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
