13. Resolution of Intention and First Reading of an Ordinance Authorizing an\nAmendment to the Contract between the City and CalPERS to Implement\nAdditional Government Code § 20516 Employee Cost Sharing\nRecommendation -\n1. Adopt the Resolution of Intention to approve a contract amendment with\nthe California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to\nprovide an additional 1% cost sharing, as specified;\n2. Authorize City Manager and City Clerk, to execute associated CalPERS\ndocuments, as required for submission to CalPERS, to facilitate the\nCalPERS contract amendment process; and\n3. Introduce first reading by title only, with further reading waived, an\nOrdinance authorizing such CalPERS contract amendment, and\nschedule a second reading of the Ordinance for the regular May 16, 2023\nCity Council meeting.\n4. Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
