1. Park Curfew Notice\nThe City Council will consider: (CD/PARKS)\na. Introducing an Ordinance amending Title 7 (Public Safety and Morals), of Chapter 7.49 (Park), Section\n7.49.150 (Curfew) by modifying Subsection 7.49.150(B) and adding Subsections 7.49.150(C) (Extended\nPark Hours) and 7.49.150(D) (Park Closure) to the South Gate Municipal Code relating to curfews in City of\nSouth Gate municipal parks to allow for permitted activities in parks without buildings beyond sunset and to\nprovide the City Manager flexibility to amend park hours by administrative action citywide; and\nb. Finding that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the\nGeneral Rule Exemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), as there is no possibility that the\nordinance amendment may have a significant effect on the environment, and as a Class 1 Categorical\nExemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities), as the amendment involves only a\nminor change to the administrative hours of operation of existing park facilities with no physical alteration to\nthe environment. The City Clerk is directed to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk within five\n(5) working days of adoption.
