Agenda Item 9

9.\nAPPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH LOGICALIS FOR CISCO/WEBEX\nCALLING PHONE SOLUTION The City’s current phone system is an on-\npremises Mitel platform that has reached its end-of-life and is no longer\nsupported. Migrating to a new system is essential to eliminate security\nvulnerabilities and system failures that could occur once manufacturer\nsystem patches cease. Mitel’s recent bankruptcy and subsequent\nrestructuring also create long-term uncertainty for hardware and on-going\nsupport. Transitioning to a modern, cloud-based solution mitigates these\nrisks with built-in disaster recovery and seamless remote work capabilities\nwithin a compliant and scalable communication infrastructure. A new\nsystem will also have less emergency repairs that are inherent with legacy\nequipment, thereby achieving reduced monthly costs.\nRecommendation: Recommend the City Council: 1. Approve Resolution\n26-17 authorizing the use of National Association of State Procurement\nOfficials (NASPO) ValuePoint Purchasing Program to purchase the Cisco\nWebex Calling phone solution with Logicalis, a Cisco account partner, in\naccordance with Section 1625(c) of the Tustin City Code; and 2. Authorize\nthe City Manager to execute necessary contract documents with Logicalis\nfor the purchase. RESOLUTION NO. 26-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE\nCITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING\nUSE OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE PROCUREMENT\nOFFICIALS (NASPO) VALUEPOINT PURCHASING PROGRAM TO\nPURCHASE CISCO WEBEX CALLING PHONE SOLUTION Fiscal\nImpact: The cost of a one-time system implementation and a three-year\nsubscription totals $227,732. Sufficient budget has been appropriated in\nthe Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Information Technology Fund to support this\nproject. Subsequent subscription renewal is approximately $25,000\nannually and will be incorporated in future budgets for the Council's\nconsideration.
