LETTER FROM EL MONTE/SOUTH EL MONTE COMMUNITY\nOUTREACH REQUESTING A FACILITY FEE WAIVER FOR THE USE OF\nTHE SENIOR CENTER DINNING HALL TO HOST A MEMORIAL\nCEREMONY FOR BLANCA FIGUEROA AND WAIVER FOR ALL THE\nFEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RESERVATION\nThe El Monte/South El Monte Community Outreach ("Community\nOutreach") organization is requesting a facility fee waiver for the use of the\nSenior Center Dinning Hall to host a memorial ceremony for long-time\nresident, Patriotic Commissioner, and former Mayor of the City of South El\nMonte, Blanca Figueroa. In addition, Community Outreach is requesting\nCity Council consider waiving all the fees associated with the reservation.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council\ndiscuss and consider:\n1. The requested facility fee waiver for the use of the Senior Center Dinning\nHall in the amount of $300.00; and\n2. The request to waive the non-waived fees associated with the\nreservation in the amount of $902.00.
