7.c.\nCONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 26-023,\nAPPROVING PROJECT ACCEPTANCE AND NOTICE OF COMPLETION\nFOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PEDESTRIAN SAFETY\nPROJECT, ATP CYCLE 5, ATPL-5352(023)\nOn September 30, 2024, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the\nSafe Routes to School Pedestrian Safety Project, ATP Cycle 5, ATPL-\n5352(023). The work involved installation of pedestrian safety upgrades at\nsignalized intersections and uncontrolled crosswalks including RRFBs,\npedestrian push buttons, countdown systems, overhead pedestrian signal\nsystems, speed radar feedback signs, pedestrian ramps, signage,\ncrosswalks and striping around schools and major destinations. On\nNovember 12, 2024, Toro Enterprises, Inc. (“Contractor”) was awarded a\nconstruction contract for the Safe Routes to School Pedestrian Safety\nProject, ATP Cycle 5, ATPL-5352(023). The final cost for the construction\nwork completed by Toro Enterprises, Inc. is $1,496,102.79.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 26-023, accepting the completion for the Safe\nRoutes to School Pedestrian Safety Project, ATP Cycle 5, ATPL-\n5352(023);\n2. Authorize City Clerk to send the Notice of Completion for recordation to\nthe Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office;\n3. Release retention accordingly.
