25.\nStaff recommends the City Council take the following\nactions prior to July 1, 2026, to implement updates to the\nBrown Act pursuant to Senate Bill 707:\n1.) Direct staff to implement remote public participation at\nCity Council meetings via two-way telephonic audio system;\n2.) Direct staff to bring back appropriate policy or ordinance\nupdates to address how public comment sign-up will be\nhandled for all agenda items so that the rules for both\nin-person and remote public comments are uniformly\napplied;\n3.) Adopt\na resolution approving a Council\nPolicy\naddressing Disruption of Telephonic or Internet Service\nDuring Public Meetings;\n4.) Direct staff to implement Spanish language translation\nfor agenda documents and approve policies for how to\nmanage live translation needs; and\n5.) Direct staff regarding policies for enhancing public\nawareness and participation in City Council meetings\n26-1282\nCity Council:\nA) Report by Zeb Navarro, City Clerk\nB) Discussion\nC) Recommendation - provide direction and adopt policy
