A\nConsideration and possible action to read by title only, waive further reading,\nand introduce Ordinance No. 1455 – An Ordinance amending Chapter 8.16\n(Regulating Fireworks) of the Bellflower Municipal Code to extend the time\nfor selling safe and sane fireworks within the City and to allow certain\nfireworks stands to be located along secondary arterial streets.\nQEQA: The Ordinance is exempt from additional review under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000, et sea., “CEQA”)\nand regulations promulgated thereunder (14 California Code of Regulations\n§§ 15000, et sea., the “CEQA Guidelines”) because under CEQA Guidelines\n§§ 15061 (b) (3) and 15378(b)(5), the Ordinance establishes internal\ngovernmental procedures that have no potential to cause a significant effect on the\nenvironment.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Read by title only, waive further reading, and\nintroduce Ordinance No. 1455, amending BMC Chapter 8.16; or 2) Alternatively,\ndiscuss and take other action related to this item.
