11.\nAWARD CONTRACT: SEWER LIFT STATION NO. 5 REPLACEMENT PROJECT –\nF2M25-57, N2M25-154, C2M26-22, M2M26-60\nOn October 27, 2025, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids for\nthe Sewer Lift Station No. 5 Replacement Project. On March 12, 2026, bids were opened\nby the City Clerk. Four bids were received, which ranged from the amount of\n$3,178,980.00 to the high bid of $4,479,050.00. RE Chaffee Construction, Inc. submitted\nthe lowest qualified bid at $3,178,980.00. Staff reviewed the bid submitted by RE Chaffee\nConstruction, Inc. and found it to be in full compliance and conformance with the project’s\nspecifications.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nRE Chaffee Construction, Inc. for the Sewer Lift Station No. 5 Replacement Project in an\namount not to exceed $3,178,980.00; determine that RE Chaffee Construction, Inc. for the\nSewer Lift Station No. 5 Replacement Project is categorically exempt from California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (b); and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
