7.\nACCEPT A DONATION OF A SCOREBOARD FROM EAST ALHAMBRA LITTLE\nLEAGUE AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR INSTALLATION – F2M26-12,\nM2M26-58\nEast Alhambra Little League purchased a scoreboard and remote control. East Alhambra\nLittle League would like to donate the scoreboard to the City of Alhambra for use at the\nAlmansor Park baseball field. East Alhambra Little will provide the funds for the\nscoreboard installation, and the City will coordinate the work. Staff received three bids for\nthe installation of the scoreboard. The lowest responsible bid was $11,000.00. East\nAlhambra Little League donated $11,000.00 to cover the costs of the scoreboard\ninstallation. After installation, the City will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the\nscoreboard, but East Alhambra Little League will assume the responsibility for the remote-\ncontrol system.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council accept from the East Alhambra Little League a\ndonation of an electric outdoor baseball scoreboard at Almansor Park baseball field;\naccept a cash donation of $11,000.00 for the installation of the scoreboard; direct the\nfinance Director to appropriate the $11,000.00 in revenues and expenditures for the\ncompletion of the project; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the\nCouncil’s action.
