E.3. UPDATE\nON\nBUSINESS\nRETENTION\nPROGRAMS\nFOR\nRESTAURANTS [L. BIERY, P. KESPRADIT, L. D'AMBROSIA]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an update on business\nretention programs designed to retain restaurant business in\nthe City of West Hollywood.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive an update on the Restaurant\nGrant Program; 2) Authorize staff to award 20 waitlisted\napplicants restaurant grants and award one approved business\nthe remainder of a partially awarded grant by authorizing an\nadditional $205,000 to the Restaurant Grant Program; 3) Direct\nstaff to partner with an organization to provide restaurant-\nspecific technical assistance programs, such as one-on-one\nadvising and group facilitated workshops for West Hollywood\nrestaurant businesses, in an amount not to exceed $50,000; 4)\nAuthorize staff to develop comprehensive guidelines for a\nsecond round of the Restaurant Grant Program to support\nrestaurant businesses in FY 27 and partner with an organization\nto administer the program to provide grants and administration\nof the program totaling up to $1,295,000. Each eligible\nrestaurant business, excluding those located on the premises\nof, connected to, or operated in conjunction with a hotel, may\nreceive up to $12,500; and 5) Authorize the Director of Finance\n& Technology Services to allocate $1,550,000 from unallocated\nreserves in the General Fund Reserves for the award of\nrestaurant grants to waitlisted applicants, the proposed second\nround of the Restaurant Grant Program, and restaurant-specific\ntechnical assistance programs.\nSTAFF REPORT\nITEM E.3. - ATTACHMENT A\nITEM E.3. - ATTACHMENT B
