5.\nAward Construction Contract to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. in the Amount of $2,424,000\nfor “Street Preservation - Local Citywide (FY-25-26),” FD428, Capital Improvement\nProgram (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag: Project 68598 to\nInclude all Base Bid and Additive Alternate Items\nIt is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:\n1) Award a construction contract to the lowest responsive bid from Onyx Paving\nCompany, Inc. for “Street Preservation - Local Citywide (FY 25-26),” FD428, Capital\nImprovement Program (CIP) | CC2590 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) | Worktag:\nProject 68598 to include all Base Bid and Additive Alternate items in the amount of\n$2,424,000;\n2) Authorize the execution of potential amendments / change orders up to 40 percent of\nthe original contract price to allow for the inclusion of additional streets/work as\nneeded;\n3) Find that the project referenced above is categorically exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(c) and that the\nproposed project will not have a significant effect on the environment;\n4) Authorize the City Manager to execute the construction contract and any subsequent\namendments / change orders on behalf of the City of Pomona (City).\nStaff Report.docx
