Resolution Establishing an Optional Member Group for Current and\nRetired City Council Members and Electing a Public Employees Medical\nHospital Care Act (PEMHCA) Contribution to California Public Employees\nRetirement System (CalPERS) Medical Insurance, and Resolution\nDeclaring that the New Optional Member Group Shall Receive the Same\nBenefits as a Non-Safety Group, Police Support Services Employees'\nAssociation, as Required by State Law.\nRecommendation -\n1. Approve and adopt a resolution to establish a separate Optional Member\nGroup for Current and Retired Council Members, and establish its Public\nEmployees Medical Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA) Contribution to\nCalifornia Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) Medical\nInsurance.\n2. Approve and adopt a resolution declaring that the new Optional Member\nGroup shall receive the same benefits as a non-safety group, Police\nSupport Services Employees' Association, as required by state law.\n3. Alternatively, discuss and take any other related action.
