9. AWARD CONTRACT: PURCHASE OF ONE 10-YARD DUMP TRUCK – F2M23-6A,\nC2M23-25, M2M23-57\nThe current Public Works dump truck has been in service for 33 years and has reached\nits expected life span for usage. As such, staff is seeking to purchase one dump truck to\nreplace the aging vehicle though a cooperative purchase agreement. Cooperative\npurchase is allowable per Alhambra Municipal Code 3.36.080(B)(3). On August 5, 2021,\nSourcewell opened four bids for the procurement of roadway maintenance equipment with\nrelated accessories, attachments, materials and supplies. Sourcewell awarded contract\n080521-PBL to PB Loader on November 5, 2021 - a contract that does not expire until\nOctober 11, 2025. Sourcewell bid specifications included an option for purchasing dump\ntrucks for road maintenance; therefore, staff is recommending purchasing one new dump\ntruck vehicle utilizing this option.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to PB Loader in an amount not to exceed\n$287,551.85 for the purchase of one 10-yard dump truck for the Public Works Department;\nand, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
