First Reading of an Ordinance Pertaining to Regulated Mobility Devices (e-bikes,\nscooters, etc.) The proposed ordinance adds Chapter 10.80 to Title 10 of the La Verne\nMunicipal Code to regulate the operation of regulated mobility devices, including electric\nbicycles, electric scooters, and similar devices. The ordinance establishes definitions, operational\nrules, safety requirements, enforcement mechanisms, and penalties to promote public safety and\nwelfare.\nRecommendation: That the City Council introduce by title only and waive further reading of an\nOrdinance titled, “AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE,\nCALIFORNIA, ADDING CHAPTER 10.80 TO TITLE 10 OF THE LA VERNE MUNICIPAL CODE\nREGULATING THE USE OF REGULATED MOBILITY DEVICES.”
