9J.\nACCEPTANCE OF HVAC SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PHASE 1 PROJECT (TASK\nCODE NO. 2026-603) BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STANTON,\nCALIFORNIA\nThe City’s HVAC System Replacement Phase 1 Project, which consisted of the\nreplacement of 8 HVAC units, separately purchased by the City, including an updated\ncomputerized controller system, is now complete. The final construction cost for the\nproject totaled $974,136.23. The City Engineer, in his best judgment, certifies that the\nwork was satisfactorily completed as of March 24, 2026. It is recommended that the City\nCouncil accept the completed work performed on this project.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this project is categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), Class 2, Section 15302 as replacement of\nexisting structures and facilities; and\n2. Accept the completion of the HVAC System Replacement Phase 1 Project, as certified\nby the City Engineer, and affix the date of completion of March 24, 2026 as the date\nof completion of all work associated with this project; and\n3. Approve the final cost of construction for the contract amount of $974,136.23 with AC\nPros, Inc.; and\n4. Direct the City Clerk within ten (10) days from the date of acceptance to file the Notice\nof Completion (Attachment) with the County Clerk-Recorder of the County of Orange;\nand\n5. Direct City staff, after thirty-five (35) days has elapsed from the filing of the “Notice of\nCompletion” with the County Clerk-Recorder, to make the retention payment to AC\nPros, Inc. in the amount of $48,706.81; and\n6. Increase revenues in the Grants Fund (Account No. 227-0000-432300) by $74,200 as\nadditional funding for the HVAC System Replacement Phase 1 Project (Task Code\nNo. 2026-603) per CDBG Contract No. 012-25011143 and the corresponding\naccounts to transfer funds to the Capital Improvement Fund (305) where the project\nexpenditures are accounted for and reduce the original funding transfers from the\nPublic Benefit Fee Fund (104) in the same amount.\nEND OF CONSENT CALENDAR
