14. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS\nAND AGREEMENTS FOR PROJECTS FUNDED THROUGH THE STATE OF\nCALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) ON BEHALF OF\nTHE CITY – F2M23-18, R2M23-25\nThe City of Alhambra is eligible to receive state and federal funding for various\ntransportation projects through the State of California Department of Transportation\n(Caltrans). To ensure receipt of state and federal funding for these projects, the City\nCouncil must adopt a resolution designating the City Manager as the authorized official to\nexecute documents and agreements for projects funded through Caltrans. Additionally,\nfrom time to time, the City submits grant applications for state or federally funded\nprograms. The City has been awarded state or federally funded grants for Capital\nImprovements Projects, which are managed by the Public Works Department. The state\nor federally funded grants, administered by Caltrans, require submittals from the City at\nthe time of submission of the grant application, at the acceptance of the grant, during the\ngrant project implementation, and/or following the grant project completion. In order to\ncomply with the state and federal requirements on certain submittals, staff recommends\nhaving the City Manager or her designee sign all state and federally funded documents.\nRecommended Action: City Council adopt Resolution No. R2M23-25 entitled: A\nResolution of the Alhambra City Council authorizing the City Manager or designee to\nexecute all documents and agreements for projects funded through the State of California\nDepartment of Transportation (Caltrans)
