NOTICE INVITING BIDS: REHABLITATION OF THE STORM DRAIN ON MONTEZUMA\nAVENUE – F2M23-40, N2M23-46\n6\n4-24-23\nThe City of Alhambra Utilities Department is responsible for inspection, maintenance and\nrepair of the storm drain system in the public right-of-way and in drainage easements. The\nstorm drain pipe at Montezuma Avenue, located from 2801 Montezuma Avenue to\nRamona Avenue, has been broken and needs to be repaired to handle normal water flow\nbefore flooding occurs. Due to the pipe passing through many private properties, the pipe\nlining method is a preferable way to repair the pipe. This storm drain pipe is 36-inch in\ndiameter and approximately 350 feet in length. Plans and specifications have been\nprepared; staff has reviewed the plans and found them to be consistent with City\nstandards.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nto qualified contractors for the Rehabilitation of the Storm Drain on Montezuma Avenue\nProject with bids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on May 18, 2023, and opened at 11:00 a.m.\nthat same day.
