B.8.\nCONSIDERATION OF MODIFYING BUS PASS SUBSIDY PROGRAM\n[H. COLLINS, T. FUHRER, B. THORNTON]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a Staff proposal to streamline\nthe Bus Pass Subsidy Program by updating participation requirements\nand service delivery processes. The proposed changes are intended to\nimprove the customer experience for participants while increasing\nprogram efficiency.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct Staff to require that participants\ncomplete the Metro’s GO TAP Program Participation Waiver as a\ncondition of participation in the City’s Bus Pass Subsidy Program; 2)\nDirect Staff to distribute consolidated application packets for both the\nMetro discounted TAP card program (Seniors/Persons with Disabilities)\nand\nthe\nWest\nHollywood\nBus\nPass\nSubsidy\nProgram\n(Older\nAdults/Persons with Disabilities) at City facilities and partner locations; and\n3) Direct Staff to streamline program onboarding and establish scheduled\ncounter and phone service hours, alongside targeted outreach to eligible\nparticipants, for program support.
