12. ADOPT THE 2022 ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT (APR) ON THE STATUS AND\nPROGRESS IN IMPLEMENTING THE BUENA PARK GENERAL PLAN\nPurpose: State law requires that the City prepare an APR on the yearly status of the\nCity’s progress in implementing its General Plan. This report is in addition to the annual\nreport required for reporting on the City’s implementation of its Housing Element. There\nis no budget impact as a result of this action.\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt the 2022 General Plan Annual Progress Report (APR)\non the status and progress in implementing the Buena Park General Plan; 2) Authorize\nthe Community and Economic Development Department to transmit the report to the\nState Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Governor’s\nOffice of Planning and Research (OPR), as required by state law; and, 3) Authorize the\nCommunity and Economic Development Department to make any changes to the report\nin response to comments received from HCD or OPR.
