THE SOUTH EL MONTE HIGH SCHOOL TEAM BCS THEORY AND\nCOACH MICHAEL LEGASPE IS REQUESTING A DONATION OF $2000\nFOR THEIR PARTICIPATION AT THE 2026 INTERNATIONAL\nSEAPEARCH COMPETITION.\nTeam BCS Theory earned the right to represent South El Monte High\nSchool and the Los Angeles Region by securing first place overall in the\nhighly competitive Southern California SeaPerch Regional Challenge. Their\nrigorous preparation and demonstration of superior technical skills have\npositioned them among the top teams in the nation, making this opportunity\nto compete at the University of Maryland a well-deserved recognition of their\ndedication. The competition will be held from May 26 to June 1, 2026, at\nthe University of Maryland, College Park, MD.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: City Council to discuss and provide direction.
