10. AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN COUNTIES OIL\nCOMPANY (SC FUELS) FOR UNLEADED AND DIESEL FUEL FOR CITY VEHICLES\nPurpose: Authorize the Public Works Department to extend the existing agreement with\nSC Fuels to provide unleaded and diesel fuel to the City for fleet use through June 30,\n2025. Associated costs estimated at $500,000 per year will be included in the proposed\nFY 2023-25 budget.\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve Amendment No. 2 to the agreement with SC Fuels to\nextend the agreement term through June 30, 2025; 2) Authorize the City Manager and\nCity Attorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the amendment; 3)\nAuthorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the amendment; and, 4) Dispense\nwith competitive bidding pursuant to Municipal Code Section 3.28.080 (H) as it is in the\nbest interest of the City to extend the existing contract for lower overall fuel costs and\nspare the expense of a competitive bidding process.
