INTERVIEWS AND APPOINTMENTS TO THE CIVIL SERVICE, PARKS AND\nRECREATION, AND PLANNING COMMISSIONS\nSummary:\nThe City ran an open recruitment seeking residents interested in serving on the\nCivil Service, Parks and Recreation, and Planning Commissions. The City\nCouncil will conduct interviews of all qualifying candidates who applied for a\nCommission appointment. At the conclusion of the interviews, City Council will\nmake appointments to fill the vacant seats on each of the Commissions.\nRecommendations:\nConduct interviews and make the following appointments:\n1. Civil Service Commission: Appoint two individuals to fill two expiring seats\n(May 31, 2023). Terms for the new Commissioners will run from June 1,\n2023 - May 31, 2027.\n2. Parks and Recreation Commission: Appoint two individuals to fill two expiring\nseats (May 31, 2023). Terms for the new Commissioners will run from June\n1, 2023 - May 31, 2027.\n3. Planning Commission: Appoint two individuals to fill two expiring seats (May\n31, 2023). Terms for the new Commissioners will run from June 1, 2023 -\nMay 31, 2027.
