Appeal of the Planning Commission’s Denial of Precise Plan No. 577 and Conditional Use\nPermit No. 1929 and the Planning Commission’s Recommendation that the City Council Deny\nGeneral Plan Amendment No. 23-01 and Zoning Map Amendment No. 436 – Presentation by\nSteven Ayers, Principal Planner Page 231\nRecommended Action: Staff is requesting City Council approval of Alternative No. 1 to\nconduct a public hearing and approve the following:\n1. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Fountain Valley denying General Plan\nAmendment No. 23-01 to change the General Plan Land Use Designation from General\nCommercial to High Density Residential and denying Zoning Map Amendment No. 436 to\nchange the Zoning Map Designation from C1-Local Business to R4-High Density Multiple\nDwelling for the 72-unit Parkside FV development located on a 2.119-acre site at 8550\nWarner Avenue; and\n2. A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Fountain Valley denying the appeal and\nupholding the Planning Commission’s denial of Precise Plan No. 577 and Conditional Use\nPermit No. 1929 to construct a 72-unit apartment complex development in a new 76,076\nsquare foot three-story building with 72 units and an 800 square foot one-story clubhouse\nbuilding and surface parking lot on a 2.119-acre project site located at 8550 Warner Avenue.
