A. POLICY FOR TECHNOLOGY DISRUPTION DURING CITY COUNCIL\nMEETINGS\nSenate Bill 707 requires the adoption of a policy, on or before July 1, 2026,\nwhich addresses disruption of technology for two-way remote public access\nduring City Council meetings. At its meeting of May 19, 2026, the City Council\nauthorized the purchase and installation of an integrated and updated audio-\nvisual platform for two-way remote public access during City Council meetings,\npursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 707. An additional requirement of the Bill is the\nadoption of a policy, on or before July 1, 2026, which addresses disruption of\nthis telephonic or internet service.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council review and approve the policy.
