5. Adoption of Resolutions (Resolution No. 2026-006, 2026-007, 2026-008 and 2026-009) Calling for\nand Giving Notice of a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026;\nResolution Requesting that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles consolidate\nthe Cityâs General Municipal Election with the Statewide Election to be held on November 3,\n2026 Pursuant to Section 10403 of the Elections Code; Resolution adopting regulations for\nCandidate Statements; and Resolution Providing for a Procedure for determining by lot a time\nvote at the November 3, 2026 of the Cityâs General Municipal Election\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-06 Calling for and giving notice of a general municipal election to\nbe held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026;\n2. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-007 Requesting that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los\nAngeles consolidate the Cityâs general municipal election with the statewide election to be held\non the same date pursuant to Section 10403 of the California Elections Code;\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-008 adopting regulations for candidate statements submitted to the\nvoters at the November 3, 2026 General Municipal Election.\n4. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-009 Providing for a procedure for determining by lot a tie among\ncandidates at the November 3, 2026 General Municipal Election in Accordance with Elections\nCode Section 15651.\n5. Authorize the Director of Finance to allocate an amount not to exceed $200,000 based on the\nCountyâs cost estimate for election-related costs in the Fiscal Year 2026/27; and
