5. FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL\nIMPROVEMENT PROGRAM - At the May 26, 2026, City Council meeting, a public\nhearing was held, the draft budget was presented, and the City Council found the draft\nFiscal Year 2026-27 Capital Improvement Program is consistent with the City of Santa\nClarita's General Plan. This item considers adoption of resolutions pertaining to the\nbudget.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council and City Council acting as Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment\nAgency of the City of Santa Clarita:\n1. Adopt a resolution adopting the annual budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27, making\nappropriations for the amounts budgeted, and establishing policies for the\nadministration of the adopted annual budget.\n2. Adopt a resolution adopting the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Capital Improvement Program.\n3. Adopt a resolution approving and adopting the annual appropriations limit for Fiscal\nYear 2026-27.\n4. Adopt a resolution electing to receive all or a portion of the tax revenues pursuant to\nthe Health and Safety Code (Community Redevelopment Law).\n5. Adopt a resolution amending the City’s Classification Plan and Salary Schedule,\nproviding for compensation of the employees of the City.
