4. APPROVE A PUBLIC WORKS AGREEMENT WITH TRI-TECH\nRESTORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $808,953.79 FOR WINDSTORM-\nRELATED ROOF REPAIRS TO CITY FACILITIES AND AUTHORIZE THE\nPARKS, AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE\nAGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC\nWORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER TO APPROVE CONTRACT CHANGE\nORDERS NECESSARY FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT,\nSUBJECT TO CONCURRENCE BY THE CALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS\nINSURANCE AUTHORITY (CJPIA), WITH ALL ASSOCIATED COSTS\nFUNDED BY CJPIA\nRecommendation: Staff recommend that the City Council (1) approve a Public Works\nAgreement with Tri-Tech Restoration in the amount of $808,953.79 for roof repairs at\nLacy Park and City Hall and (2) authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement\non behalf of the City, and (3) authorize the Parks and Public Works Director/City\nEngineer to approve contract change orders necessary for the completion of the\nproject, subject to concurrence by CJPIA, with all costs to be paid by CJPIA as\noutlined in the agreement. If the Council concurs with staff’s recommendation, an\nappropriate motion would be:\n“I move to (1) approve a Public Works Agreement with Tri-Tech Restoration in the\namount of $808,953.79 for windstorm-related roof repairs to City facilities, (2)\nauthorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City, and (3)\nauthorize the Parks and Public Works Director/City Engineer to approve contract\nchange orders necessary for the completion of the project, subject to concurrence by\nthe California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA), with all costs funded by\nCJPIA.”
