G. RESOLUTION NO. 26-26: COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, COMMUNITYDEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM PARTICIPATING CITY-COOPERATION AGREEMENTThe City receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fundsadministered through and by the County of Los Angeles’ agent, the Los AngelesCouty Development Agency (LACDA). Every three years, the County must re-qualify for the Urban County designation and entitlement status from theUnited States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), whichallows LACDA to administer CDBG funds directly to the City. As part of thisprocess, the County is inviting the City to continue participating in the UrbanCounty CDBG Program for another three-year term from July 1, 2027, throughJune 30, 2030. For the City to continue participating in the CDBG Urban CountyProgram and receive funding directly from the LACDA, the City must execute aCooperation Agreement with the County and adopt the proposed Resolution.California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project asdefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.Recommended Action:Staff recommends that the City Council:1. Adopt Resolution No. 26-26 authorizing the City’s participation in the LosAngeles Urban County Community Development Block Grant Program; and2. Authorize the Mayor or their designee to execute all documents necessaryfor participation in the Los Angeles Urban County Community DevelopmentBlock Grant Program on behalf of the City of San Gabriel.
