5.\nRequest Consideration and Approval for Measure BP Funding to continue the NextGen Youth\nWorkforce Program for Summer of 2026\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Consider approving $105,000 from Measure BP funding for the 2026 NextGen Program if\nManaged Career Solutions (MCS) “AJCC” is unable to commit funding for the participants\nthrough July 31, 2026; and\n2. Authorize the use of these funds to:\n• Support 40 program participants under the City’s payroll\n(Up to 120 hours per participant, Hourly Rate & Taxes, and City Admin Costs); and\n3. Approve the allocation of funds to cover related program expenses, HR cost for pre-\nemployment screening, an Appreciation Lunch with food, refreshments, and City give-a-ways,\nmaterials and supplies for a development workshop for youth participants; and\n4. Authorize the Director of Finance to make appropriations and necessary budget adjustments;\nand\n5. Any remaining funds will be placed back into the Measure BP account.
