26. CONSIDERATION OF ADOPTION OF A BLOCK PARTY PERMIT PROGRAM POLICY\nAND APPROVAL OF THE PURCHASE OF TWO CITY-OWNED BARRICADE\nEQUIPMENT SETS\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that City Council:\n1. Adopt the proposed Block Party Permit Program Policy establishing a formal, City\nadministered process for permitting neighborhood block parties;\n2. Approve the purchase of two (2) City-owned barricade equipment sets at an\nestimated cost of $8,000 to launch the program; and\n3. Authorize City staff to add additional barricade equipment sets in future budget\ncycles, through the annual budget appropriation process, as program demand and\navailable funding support expansion.\nCOMMUNICATIONS\n8
