E. STREETLIGHT REPLACEMENT AT 259 WEST WEDGEWOOD AVENUE [RESOLUTION NO. 26-36] The streetlight at 259 West Wedgewood Avenue was damaged beyond repair in a single-vehicle traffic collision and requires replacement. Per the San Gabriel Municipal Code Section 34.75 and the California Public Contract Code, as a “public project” of $75,000 or less, these services may be performed by the City’s employees by force account, by a negotiated contract or by purchase order. Staff received three quotes and following review, staff determined that California Street Lighting provided the lowest responsive bid at $26,000. The scope of work includes all labor and materials. California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: The proposed action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Section 15301 (Existing Facilities), as it involves repair and maintenance of an existing public facility. Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the City Council: 1. Approve a purchase in the amount of $26,000 from California Street Lighting for streetlight replacement at 259 West Wedgewood Avenue; 2. Authorize the City Manager to issue the Purchase Order to California Street Lighting for $26,000; and 3. Approve the adoption of Resolution No. 26-36 making the necessary budget adjustments.
