9) CONSIDERATION TO ACCEPT UNITED STATES OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS’ BUREAU OFJUSTICE ASSISTANCE FISCAL YEAR 2025 PATRICK LEAHY BULLETPROOF VEST PARTNERSHIPPROGRAM GRANT FUNDS TO REIMBURSE FIFTY PERCENT OF THE COST OF BALLISTIC VESTSFOR POLICE OFFICERS; AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO AMEND FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027ADOPTED BUDGETRecommend that the City Council:a. Accept the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance Fiscal Year2025 Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program grant funds in the amount of$16,611.15 to reimburse 50% of the cost for ballistic vests purchased for Police Departmentsworn and reserve personnel;b. Adopt Resolution No. 8470 amending the budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to appropriatethe grant revenues and expenditures; andc. Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute all related documents.ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
