10.9 Consideration of a Resolution Approving a Second Amendment to the Professional Services Letter Agreement with Colantuono, Highsmith & Whatley, PC for Special Legal Services Related to the Proposed Sale of the Water System RECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City Council: 1. Adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the Acting City Manager to execute a Second Amendment to the Professional Services Letter Agreement with Colantuono, Highsmith & Whatley, PC for Special Legal Services related to the proposed sale of the water system; and 2. Appropriate $25,000 from the General Fund into the FY 2026/2027 Budget to cover the City Water System-related costs. ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1 - Resolution 2026-80 Exhibit 2 - Second Amendment to PSA Bell Gardens and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Veterans Park Refurbishment Project RECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the Acting City Manager to execute a Grant and Urban Development for the Veterans Park Refurbishment Project. ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1 – Resolution No. 2026-81 Exhibit 2 – Grant Agreement Bell Gardens and the LA84 Foundation for the Learn to Swim Program RECOMMENDATION: It is staff’s recommendation that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution approving a Grant Agreement with the LA84 Foundation.
