H. ACCEPTANCE OF ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT AWARD AND\nPURCHASE OF WASHER-EXTRACTOR AND DRYER CABINET IN THE\nAMOUNT OF $37,059.77\nThe San Gabriel Fire Department has been awarded funds from the 2021\nAssistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) Program in the amount of $33,690.70. The\nFire Department is recommending Council’s adoption of Resolution No. 23-24\nand authorization for the City Manager to issue purchase orders for the\nacquisition of a washer-extractor and drying cabinet as detailed in the report.\nThis is a United States Homeland Security AFG Program managed by Federal\nEmergency Management Agency. The total outlay would be $37,030.21. The\ngrant will pay for $33,663.83 and the general fund is obligated to a matching\namount of $3,366.38. The deadline to use these funds is August 29, 2024.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-24 accepting the grant and appropriation.\n2. Increase the appropriations in the Fire Department special project grant\naccount by $33,690.70, account #124-761-57-99-390.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to issue purchase orders for the purchase of\na washer-extractor and drying cabinet as detailed in the staff report.
