C. APPOINTMENTS TO THE CIVIL SERVICE, COMMUNITY SERVICES, DESIGN\nREVIEW, HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND CULTURAL RESOURCE, AND\nPLANNING COMMISSIONS\nOn April 26 and 27, 2023, the City Council conducted interviews for the above-\nnamed Commissions for vacancies with terms ending May 31, 2023. The Council\nis requested to consider appointments to the Commissions for both scheduled\nand unscheduled vacancies, and for a waitlist. There is no fiscal impact related\nto this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council appoint Commissioners for scheduled\nand unscheduled vacancies on the Civil Service, Community Services, Design\nReview, Historic Preservation and Cultural Resource, and Planning\nCommissions, and select individuals they would like to add to the waitlist\nshould any unscheduled vacancies arise.
