G. Request of Councilmembers Negrete and Snell and Mayor Torosis that the City Council approve waiving City fees not to exceed $16,950 and also approve $12,500 in Council discretionary funds to support the Butterfly Brawl, a boxing, charity and entertainment event on the Santa Monica Pier on August 22, 2026. Butterfly Brawl’s mission is to combine high-level boxing, entertainment, and philanthropy in support of cancer-related causes. This year, fundraising efforts will focus on the American Cancer Society that supports those affected by cancer. Councilmember’s portion of discretionary funds would be allocated as follows: $5,000 allocated from Councilmember Negrete, $5,000 from Councilmember Snell, and $2,500 from Mayor Torosis.
