12.6 Consideration and Approval of a Construction Work Order with California American\nWater Company for the Purchase and Installation of a Fire Hydrant and Fire\nInfrastructure for the El Monte Homekey Projects for a Not-to-Exceed Amount of\n$69,510.\nRECOMMENDATION OF BUSINESS ITEM UNDER CONSIDERATION:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve a construction work order with California American Water Company for the\npurchase of one (1) fire hydrant and installation of fire infrastructure for the El Monte\nHomekey Project for a total not-to-exceed amount of $69,510; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the construction work order and\napprove change orders that may be necessary during construction to cover any\nunforeseen conditions in an amount not-to-exceed 15% ($10,427).\nTotal Cost: $79,937 Account No: HCD CDBG-CV (214)\nIs the cost of this item budgeted?
