5. CONSIDERATION TO AUTHORIZE ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD IN THE AMOUNT
OF $54,000.00 FROM THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR THE
STRATEGIC TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM AND ADOPTION OF
RESOLUTION NO. 8023 AMENDING THE 2026-2027 BUDGET TO REFLECT THE
GRANT REVENUE
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the City Manager or designee to accept a grant award in the amount of
$54,000.00 from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the Strategic Traffic
Enforcement Program;
2. Adopt Resolution No. 8023 amending the 2026-2027 budget to appropriate $54,000
in grant revenue and expenditures in the OTS Grant Fund (Fund 269); and
3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all necessary documents to
accept the grant.
