COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE BOARD OF WATER AND POWER
COMMISSIONERS (BOARD) and CITY ATTORNEY and
ORDINANCES FIRST CONSIDERATION relative to finding that the
public interest and necessity require the acquisition by eminent domain
of five parcels of real property southwest of the intersection of
Rosamond Boulevard and 100th Street West, in unincorporated Kern
County, California for the Rosamond Switching Station Project.
Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL
OF THE MAYOR:
1. APPROVE Board Resolution No. 026 181 adopted by the Board
on March 24, 2026, which approves the Rosamond Switching
Station Project Public Hearing to Consider Adoption of
Resolution of Necessity Authorizing Commencement of Eminent
Domain Proceedings to Acquire Five Parcels of Real Property
Southwest of the Intersection of Rosamond Boulevard and
100th Street West, in Unincorporated Kern County, California.
2. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE, dated
April 1, 2026, finding that the public interest and necessity
require the acquisition by eminent domain of five parcels of real
property southwest of the intersection of Rosamond Boulevard
and 100th Street West, in unincorporated Kern County,
California for the Rosamond Switching Station Project.
3. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE, dated
July 8, 2026, finding that the public interest and necessity
require the acquisition by eminent domain of five parcels of real
property southwest of the intersection of Rosamond Boulevard
and 100th Street West, in unincorporated Kern County,
California for the Rosamond Switching Station Project.
Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the Board or City
Attorney. Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief
Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
