CM Avila seeks consensus from Council to: Direct Staff to prioritize the\nsidewalks and parkway areas around the school sites in our city to ensure\na safe pedestrian experience for the children and their parents. This\nincludes new improvements and landscape, as well maintaining areas that\nhave already been improved. Include it as a budget request if necessary.\n2. Direct Staff to establish a clear understanding on jurisdictional\nresponsibilities between Caltrans and the City on all freeway interface\nareas around the freeway corridors in our City. This applies to clean up\nactivities and infrastructure improvement such as drainage channels.
