18. CONTRACT AMENDMENT: PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND\nSUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE POLCE DEPARTMENT – F2M21-34, RFP2M21-8,\nC2M21-28, M2M23-76\nOn July 1, 2021 the City entered into a contract for Professional Information Technology\nand Support Services with SDI Presence LLC (SDI) for a term of three years with two one-\nyear extensions. Due to the increase of cybersecurity attacks among local agencies, the\nPolice Department requires additional services to better protect network systems from\nattacks and vulnerability including cloud backup, delivery and recovery; spam filter and\ncybersecurity software. SDI is currently the Police Department’s contractor for\nprofessional information technology services and has been providing consistently reliable\nand satisfactory services to the Police Department since 2012. SDI has a clear\nunderstanding of the Police Department’s current needs and has extensive knowledge\nand experience with the Department of Justice’s and Federal Bureau of Investigation’s\npolicies and procedures that public safety must follow.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the City Manager to execute an\namendment, subject to final language approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to\nthe agreement (C2M21-28) with SDI Presence LLC (previously Scientia Consulting Group\nInc.) to include additional informational technology support hours, cloud backup, spam\nfilter and cybersecurity services increasing the contract amount to not exceed $200,000\nannually; authorize the City Manager to execute any additional documentation to extend\nthe amendment subject to satisfactory firm performance and future budget allocations for\ntwo one-year extensions; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
