5. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: PURCHASE OF CARBON MEDIA FOR THE GROUND\nWATER TREATMENT PLANT – F2M23-6B, N2M23-49\nStaff requests authorization to distribute a Notice Inviting Bids for the purchase of carbon\nmedia for the Ground Water Treatment Plant. The Ground Water Treatment Plant\nhas fourteen carbon filters. As part of the treatment process, the filter media must be\nreplaced and/or regenerated once it is exhausted. Specifications have been prepared for\nthis process. Staff has reviewed and approved these specifications, which are available\nfor review in addition to the bid notice and bid instructions.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the circulation of a Notice Inviting\nBids for the purchase of carbon media for the Ground Water Treatment Plant with bids\ndue no later than 10:30 a.m. on June 1, 2023; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
