AWARD CONTRACT: 2023 USDA SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM – F2M23-25,\nN2M23-23, C2M23-32, M2M23-71\nOn February 27, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the 2023 Summer Food Service Program. On April 20, 2023, the City Clerk received\ntwo bids. The bids received were in the amounts of $88,788 (Unity Meals) and $92,090.40\n(School Nutrition Plus). The bid received by Unity Meals is the lowest responsive bid.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Unity Meals in the amount of $88,788\nfor the 2023 Summer Food Service Program; and, direct staff to take the steps necessary\nto finalize Council’s action.
